Siavash Roshan

Siavash Roshan (b.1987, Tehran) is Oud player, vocalist, composer, and conductor. He began his musical education at the age of eleven, when he began studying the tar at the Tehran Conservatory of Music. He soon changed his main instrument to Oud, studying with Majid Nazempour and Mohammad-Rezâ Ebrâhimi.

He continued his education at Tehran University of Art, in Music Performance, following with Master’s degree in Composition from the University of Tehran. His passion for Western classical music led him to study conducting under the supervision of Sharif Lotfi, former conductor of the Tehran Philharmonic Orchestra, and Christian Schulz, chief conductor of Mozart Collegium Vienna. Siavash performs extensively the Oud with various concerts and concert tours in Iran and abroad. His two albums “Ravi” (With Golfam Khayam, Hermes records) and “Passage” (Solo, Kherad Record) has gathered high critical acclaim and attention.

He is a member of music advisors at Tehran Records since 2016, and is himself active in the recording process of TR’s project:
